Employee Awards & Recognition
President’s Award of Achievement — This award is given to administrators and faculty who provide exemplary work on behalf of the College. Recipients are chosen by Cuyahoga Community College President, Alex Johnson, Ph.D.
Professional Excellence Award — Was instituted in 1985 to recognize full-time, non-faculty employees who have contributed to Cuyahoga Community College through their significant and outstanding achievements.
Teaching Excellence Award in Honor of Ralph M. Besse — Recognizes faculty College-wide for their commitment to academic integrity, stimulation of intellectual development and investment in students within and beyond the classroom. The award is given in honor of Ralph M Besse, a Cleveland community leader and champion of higher education, who was instrumental in funding Cuyahoga Community College.
Innovation of the Year Award — Sponsored by The League of Innovation in the Community College, a consortium of prominent college districts dedicated to innovation, experimentation and evaluation in all areas of community college development.
Individual Accomplishments and Awards — Each year, employees from all units of the College are recognized for academic achievement, including earning advanced degrees, publishing or showing art at a juried show and election to regional or national offices.
Service Recognition — Employees are recognized for their years of service in five year increments.
