Certifications
Certificate of Proficiency in Criminal Justice: Basic Police Academy– Designed for students who have made the career decision to become peace officers and are enrolled in the Basic Peace Officer Academy at Tri-C. The program provides a unique opportunity for police training, augmented with key courses and an educational base to prepare students toward the completion of an associate degree.
Associate Degrees
Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice – Covers various aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice, including policing, the judicial system, criminal investigations, industrial/corporate security and juvenile delinquency.
Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice with concentration in Basic Police Academy – Prepares you for a career as a peace officer and provides opportunities for specific police training, establishing an educational base to prepare you for career promotions.
Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice with concentration in Corrections – Prepares you for a career in corrections working for local, state and federal agencies, providing a broad overview of corrections, probation and parole concepts and procedures.
Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice with concentration in Security Administration – Prepares you for a career in private or contract security service, providing training in the areas of loss prevention and detection, protection of life and property and investigative work.
